Solunar bite forecast
Ontario fishing times — when will they bite today?
Fish feed hardest during solunar major and minor periods — when the moon is overhead or underfoot, and around moonrise and moonset. Use your location for today's bite windows, the moon phase, and live weather where you are.
How solunar bite times work
The solunar theory holds that fish (and game) are most active during four periods each day: two major periods (moon directly overhead and directly underfoot, ~2 hours each) and two minor periods (moonrise and moonset, ~1 hour each). Activity peaks around the new and full moon. It's a planning aid, not a guarantee — but pair a major period with dawn or dusk and a falling barometer, and you've picked a good window.
TackleDex computes these from astronomical moon and sun positions for your exact location, and pulls live weather from Open-Meteo. The app gives you the same forecast for every water you save, offline.
